There are moments (Brothers and Sisters-in Christ) within our Christian life that we feel that God is far away. There are prayers that haven’t been answered or we’re impatient and believe that God doesn’t care about our issues. It is possible that we feel God is angry at us for a sin we committed that we have committed in our lives. There is a feeling of loneliness and shame. There is a sense of uncontrollable grief and sadness. Then we ask ourselves: where God is God?
Have you ever had a moment like this Do you think I’m not the only person? I’d bet you am not the only one.
It is in these times when our doctrine (Biblical knowledge) must be rock solid! We need to believe in that the Bible tells us about God.
Psalm 34 verses. 17-18 says, “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them: he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
Proverbs 15:15 vs. 29 states “The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.”
Ephesians 2:2 vs. 13 reads “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
Hebrews 4:4 vs. 16 reads “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
John 14 verses. 18. Jesus declared, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
John 16 verses. 33 Jesus declared “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
The first thing we must to establish in our hearts is that there is a normality to trouble in our lives. The trials we face are not unusual. Jesus declared that we’re going to be in trouble. The fact that we are going through an experience does not negate the faithfulness of God’s declaration. We can be confident in God. God is always faithful and always kind to us. God loves us.
It can be difficult to believe that God is a loving God however, He really does. I am in love with the following scripture and it helps me remember that God doesn’t just care about the major things in my life but also about the little things.
Psalm 37 verses. 23 states “The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”
Does this verse speak of the image of a God who doesn’t care the things you’re going through? Absolutely not! God is concerned for you.
We should trust his word when grieving, losing, and other difficulties.
In my most difficult times in the course of my life God is never abandoned me in that place. God has never failed to restore the joy that comes from my eternal salvation. He will do the same for you too.
The peace we who have been born again experience is different from the peace that people around the globe experience. There is a true peace that lasts within our souls. We have the ability (through Christ) to have happiness even in the pain.
The Apostle James wrote (James 1:2 verses. 4 -) “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”
Is God not that far away?
The answer is a resounding NO!
My request to you for this is, if you’re currently going through an obstacle, I ask that God brings back the happiness that comes from your salvation. I believe that He will complete this act of grace in your heart, just as He has done for me numerous times.
God Bless You! cbd lausanne
